Hey! My name is Sammy,
I am an ex professional football player currently playing semi pro football I have played football all my life & worked my way through the academy levels starting at Charlton at the age of 8, I was bought for £20,000 by Chelsea FC at the age of 12.
I was one of the most expensive young players to be signed at that age! I stayed at Chelsea for 4 years & then I moved on to Ipswich Town at 16. I signed my first professional contract for Ipswich Town & went on to win the FA Youth Cup & make my appearance for the first team in the championship against Sunderland!
My career continued in the pro leagues & I did a loan spell at Brentford in league 2 for 6 months & continued on to league 1 side AFC Wimbledon where I was named the longest serving player and also captained the club, my stay there was 5 seasons long and I loved every minute!
Leyton Orient, Dover Athletic, Stevenage are just some of the clubs I played for throughout my professional career. After years of playing, I decided that I wanted to try my skills at being a manager & started my managing career at Leatherhead FC where we finished 7th just missing out on playoff position the Ryman premier league, I went on to Concord Rangers where we made playoffs in the conference south.
I moved on the season after to Hemel Hempstead unfortunately due to lockdown the contract was terminated after 1 season and I have now committed back to playing alongside the coaching side & currently playing semi pro football.
